Since we live in Southern Arizona and close to Mexico, we can get ours hands on some interesting foods. I had recently received a few bags of tomatillos, and knew exactly what to make, SALSA VERDE!!!
What are Tomatillos?
Tomatillos are a fruit native to Mexico, and are commonly used in Mexican cuisine to make salsas, sauces and more.
Some facts about tomatillos:
They are a fruit, not a vegetable.
Like tomatoes, they are a member of the nightshade family.
